Upon Reflection

I checked myself in the mirror before my big night out on the town and then froze. There was something twisted and half dead peering out from the curtains behind me. I made to turn, but my reflection quietly whispered, “I see it too. Don’t move.” I screamed just as both of them, dead thing and living reflection, grabbed for me with clawed fingers.
