Paternity

The cat in my lap hissed when my brother walked in the open door. His hands were red with blood and when he smiled I saw his teeth were streaked with red as well, “I found Dad!” Dumping the cat onto the ground I sat up straighter, a warning note in my voice, “Dad has been dead for six years.” My twin shook his head and smiled his bloody smile, “No, our real dad.”
