Lunch

Still dazed from the blow to the back of my head I stumbled over to the battered metal lunchbox on the coffee table. Having no idea how long I had been unconscious, I opened it and hoped it contained some clue as to what had happened. At first, I thought they were just bloody rags, but as I unfolded the tattered flaps of skin I realized it was my face. Oh god, my face.
